It’s that time of year folks! NetSuite is rolling out its second release of the year and 2016.2 is packed full of great new features and enhancements. Here at Big Bang ERP, we’ve put together some of our favorite and noteworthy features.
New SuiteBilling Capabilities
The new robust SuiteBilling capabilities will help configure, sell, and bill your subscription services and correctly recognize revenue. SuiteBilling will enable companies to use a single system to handle the subscription management, revenue recognition, and core financials across multiple channels with a single seamless billing system.
Requests and Automations
New ship from store capability will accelerate order delivery keeping customers happy while controlling operational costs. You will be able to operate fulfillment in a pre-picked status giving merchants better visibility. Merchants will also be able to support ship from location and integration with A.L.A.(Automatic Location Assignment).
SuiteScript 2.0 SFTP File Transfer API
Updates to SuiteScript 2.0 come on the heels of users’ requests. You will now be able to upload files to a secure FTP server, no longer having to deal with web service middleware platform. NetSuite’s main goal: an improved development experience.
Enhanced Transfer Orders and Estimated Landed Cost
Warehouse and distribution managers will have more flexibility to ship and receive against transfer order when the system uses item costs as a transfer price. Managers will now be able to ship partial orders when the system uses item costs as a transfer price for Transfer Orders. In order to leverage this feature, multi-location inventory needs to be enabled.
New Project Revenue Recognition Capability
The new project-based revenue recognition will work in conjunction with charge-based billing project type. You will no longer be forced to use sales orders to manage your revenue recognition.
Dun & Bradstreet Integration
At a whooping 175 years old, Dun & Bradstreet is the world’s largest collector of commercial data, maintaining a database of more than 250 million company records.
NetSuite users will now be able to tap into this vast amount of data. The SuiteApp will provide access to information that will drive sales productivity, improve data quality, and improve your decision making power by providing a wealth of prospect and customer insights.
The Dun & Bradstreet SuiteApp can also eliminate unwanted risk by aiding with credit applications, consolidated view of credit requests and single entity matching of new records.
