Let’s talk Stripe Links – with Big Bang! In this short capsule, you’ll learn about:
- Payment Link on invoice of sales order
- Payment Link on Payment Intents
- Customer Portal and how to activate it
Once you have completed the configuration of your Stripe environment in Oracle NetSuite and connected your Stripe account, you will find a payment link available in your invoices or sales orders. You can easily add the link to your email or PDF template to send to your customers.
They can use the link anytime to pay the transaction.
Once the payment has succeeded, your customers will be redirected to their receipts and the connector will create a customer payment that will automatically be applied to the invoice, or if you have received a customer deposit, you can simply fulfill and bill the order to see the payment automatically applied to the new invoice.
This also works with Cash Sales where the Sales transactions and payments are combined.
You will also find two links on your customer records in NetSuite: the setup link and the customer portal link.
The setup link allows you to safely collect payment methods from your customers so that you can charge them directly from NetSuite. A process that could even be automated! By the way, you can learn more about processing payments from NetSuite in another capsule.
The portal link allows your customers to access their portal in Stripe, giving them the ability, among other things, to see their invoices, pay their open invoices, manage their subscriptions, and manage their payment methods.
Question 1: Can the customer pay with ACH or SEPA?
Response 1: Yes, the payment link can be configured to support any type of payment method that you have allowed from your Stripe dashboard!
Question 2: Can it handle installment payments?
Response 2: Yes! For more specific use cases like partial payments, you can create a Stripe Payment Intent in NetSuite and specify the amount you would like to collect from the customer. For instance, 30% of the Invoice amount. Send this link to your customer and once paid, the 30% payment will automatically be applied to the sales transaction in NetSuite.
