Salesforce Pardot April 2019 Release

Like any other leading cloud solution, Pardot is constantly looking for ways to improve your user experience and ensure you are benefiting from all the features. With this in mind, a new batch of features was launched in the Pardot April ’19 release.

Read on to find out how you can use this Pardot knowledge in your daily marketing operations.

1. More Security

Security is always a priority when it comes to cloud platforms, like Pardot, which is why Pardot-only users can now set up two-factor authentication to access their account. To do so, an administrator must first enable the feature. After doing so, you will be able to follow the instructions and use two-factor authentication on your next login to Pardot.

Refer to On-screen help to see how to secure your credentials further with two-factor authentication.

2. Switch Between Pardot Business Units

To make your user experience more enjoyable, you can now have multiple users on one business unit. In fact, with the Pardot Lightning app, users can now simply switch between business units they manage.

3. Salesforce Engage: Send branded emails with default templates

You do not have to worry about the layout of emails your Engage users are sending anymore. With this new feature, you can set a branded template as a default to ensure your brand is being well represented within Salesforce Engage. When the Engage user creates an email in Salesforce, the default template will automatically load in the editor.

4. Your Opted-in Prospects will Sync Automatically with your updates

If you’re a Pardot user like me, you’ve probably had trouble with your opted-in prospects’ sync behavior with Salesforce. You’ll be happy to know that the “Overwrite Prospect Opted Out” field setting has changed so your existing synced prospects’ “Do Not Email” field remains selected for future syncs as long as you have checked the box on your first sync.

Find out more by reading Salesforce and Pardot’s official April’19 Release Notes here, or reach out to your trusted team of experts at Big Bang. We will happily guide you through the process and help you make the most out of your Pardot experience.
