Rajshree Boodhna is an example of heart and dedication at a company. She played a crucial role in establishing the Big Bang office in Mauritius, and her contribution is key to the organization’s steady and successful growth in the EMEA and beyond.

International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8 March around the world. The official theme for 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge. On this particular day, it’s a call to action to challenge the status quo by raising awareness against bias, celebrating women’s achievement, and taking action for equality.

I #choosetochallenge by sharing these few words about the role model women play at Big Bang who have positively impacted me in my career as an Office Coordinator.

By setting the bar high and being exemplary leaders, these wonderful women in our Big Bang team inspire me every day to continue to challenge myself to be a leader that believes in gender equality and to set the right example for the generations to come. One of my responsibilities is to manage administrative operations and streamline communications between management and its various internal (department, staff) and external (suppliers, banks, etc.) contacts. In this role, I have learned a lot about each department in the company, including all the cogs that ensure its operation. Working with these women in my daily life allows me to acquire more knowledge, receive fair and equitable support at work, be encouraged to continue further studies, and promote the company’s doings on social networks. I also try to influence my colleagues to practice feminine solidarity: encourage each other, help each other, ensure that women stop conditioning themselves to be competitive among themselves.

A woman can take on many roles: daughter, sister, friend, professional, wife, and mother. She’s someone who changes the world! I hope that everyone can embrace this day, no matter their gender. Be it in business or life, more tremendous success is achieved when working together. Instead of looking at our differences, elevate the way we look at ourselves and others: “There is a sense of wonder in each other.”
