Winter ‘22 marks the last Minor Release for FinancialForce, the leading Salesforce-native PSA and ERP solution. In the future, you can expect three major releases a year set to align with the Salesforce releases. With the new features and enhancements included in this release, customers will find it easier to conduct their operations digitally and achieve genuine customer-centricity to best leverage FinancialForce. We will go over what the experts at Big Bang think are the most relevant features for this minor update.
ERP
Localizations
FinancialForce continues to expand its functionalities to better support multi-global customers, and as of Winter ‘22, financial statements can include local GLAs (General Ledger Account). German customers will also be pleased, as a new depreciation method has been introduced to support the recently approved government incentive related to Covid.
Financial Report Builder (FRB)
In addition to the current option of exporting reports in CSV, reports can now be exported in PDF with various formatting and filtering options to enhance usability. Sharing is also made easier with the option to email PDF or CSV reports directly via Report Builder.
Continuing with the goal of better supporting international customers, FRB now allows multi-entity reporting for France, Spain and Denmark.
A small, but notable and highly requested update is the ability to hide warnings which may have caused some confusion among users, when they work on their company accounting for example.
PSA
Direct for Jira
Winter ‘22 brings forth a few enhancements to the integration between PSA and Jira. Bi-directional synchronization of Jira issues with FinancialForce PSA tasks is now supported, along with parent/child relationships. The synchronization can be automated and multiple conditions are validated by the system. To control the various functionalities of the integration, the new PSA Direct for Jira Settings tab was introduced as a simple, comprehensive way to manage all elements of the integration as well as provide validation checks.
Foundations
System Administration Workspace
Administrators will now have an enhanced bird’s eye view of the installed products and versions across Sandbox and Production orgs. This feature will facilitate the comparison between the currently installed version and the latest available version. The new System Administration Workspace provides System Admins with more control over the push notifications. They will be able to opt-in or opt-out for push updates and schedule them according to organizational needs.
